Tim Leson chose the perfect place to live out his motto, “ Work hard and play harder!”
Tim and his partner Marlyn started Grayling Chartered Professional Accountants (now Grant Thornton) in August of 2013. Marlyn had been in Prince Albert since 1991 and understood the potential for a new accounting firm in Prince Albert.
“Our many friends and love of this city influenced our choice to establish here,” explains Tim. “Proximity to the lakes and trees was also important in our decision.”
Living here allows plenty of options for golfing, and to spend time at their Emma Lake cabin. In true ‘hippy’ love of nature, Tim would someday like to, “camp in a tent on a high hill on a clear, crisp November night and observe the Northern Lights and the blazing sea of stars in the sky!”
Tim, now the Office Manager for Grant Thornton, also sits on the Chamber’s Board of Directors.
“I want to help the Prince Albert business community in any way that I can, whether good times or bad, and to make sure Prince Albert is promoted as a great place to live and work,” says Tim.
He expresses pride in the city for its’, “ability to be culturally diverse. Not only to accept cultures of every kind, but to encourage and include everyone to be part of our community.”
