Donna Pfeil - Prince Albert Daily Herald

Entrepreneur Donna Pfeil believes that locally owned businesses are the lifeblood of our community.

Donna is publisher of the Prince Albert Daily Herald, a publication that almost folded some years ago. She and the staff took on ownership in the most challenging of times, and re-established the newspaper as a valuable service and resource to our community.

“We have been able to do this because we focus on our local community. We keep residents informed by reporting what matters to the community and telling their stories,” explains Donna.

It means The Herald, which has a part of the collective memory of many generations since 1894, continues to be a foundational strength in the city and district.

What Donna appreciates most about Prince Albert and area is the ability of its’ people to pull together.

“The events this city has hosted, and the fundraising, that is what amazes me about Prince Albert and area,” says Donna.

It is clear that Donna’s philosophy to “believe in yourself,” has yielded results.

“In life, I also believe that if you are going to make a change, make a change for you. Don’t make it to appease someone else.”

Donna also believes Chamber membership is a powerful way for the business community to stay strong.

“Locally owned businesses are the lifeblood of our community.  By supporting each other and by supporting local business, we help build a better community.”

Thank you Donna for your vision and commitment to our community. Your entrepreneurial spirit is inspirational.
