The Chamber was pleased to host a luncheon May 28 with Prince Albert City Police Chief Troy Cooper. Chief Cooper led a very informative discussion on the Economics of Public Safety. This event was well-attended and hosted at Plaza 88, the city’s newest convention centre.
The Chamber continues to work on initiatives affecting our membership. The Chamber staff and board representatives recently met with councillors and department leads at the City of Prince Albert. This was the second such meeting between the Chamber and the City in the past year and a good opportunity to share ideas on issues of mutual interest.
The City will host its second open house June 10 regarding the Official Community Plan (OCP). This is a chance to have your say regarding the direction of our city. Be sure to attend this meeting in the City Hall foyer beginning at 6:30 p.m.
And finally, as we head into the summer months, the monthly Chamber newsletter will be taking a break. To keep up to date on all Chamber news and upcoming events, be sure to read our weekly e-news every Monday. And follow us on Facebook and Twitter as well.
To all our Chamber members, community partners and corporate sponsors, we wish you a wonderful summer. The Chamber is planning a number of exciting luncheons and business networking events for the fall. We hope to see you all there.
