Co-operative Retailing Systems announced in late 2016 that they would be presenting awards to Co-operative Assocations in four categories including, Excellence in Sustainability, Excellence in Corporate Performance Management, Excellence in Cooperation Among Co-ops and Excellence in Brand Development. Co-ops from across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia were invited to apply.
Lake Country Co-op currently has general manager agreements with Meadow Lake Co-op and Hafford Co-ops, and is providing credit management services to Turtleford Co-op. For the last 15 years, the local Co-op has also been providing administrative assistance to Spiritwood & District Co-op as well, and has a proposal to amalgamate awaiting a membership vote later this month. Cooperating to provide financial, marketing, occupational health and safety, and administration assistance to various co-operative associations is what Lake Country Co-op, and the Co-op model is all about!
