Since June 1997, the CCDF has supported Métis entrepreneurs and Métis Communities with economic initiatives in Saskatchewan by delivering programs and services designed for Métis owned businesses.
Over the last 20 years, the CCDF has invested more than $61 million in Métis businesses and communities, leveraging money from other financial institutions and creating 9,200 direct and indirect jobs. The fund has also generated $926 million in social and economic benefits to the province.
The Clarence Campeau Development Fund was named after Clarence Campeau, a respected Metis leader who served as an area director for 24 years. Campeau was a strong leader who believed the Metis, from their very beginnings, were great business people.
