As part of our efforts to encourage shopping locally, the Chamber has erected two signs to remind residents of the value of supporting local businesses in our community. The signs are located near the Chamber/Tourism office along Second Ave. W., and near the corner of Second Ave. W. and 15th St.
“Local businesses create local jobs and contribute to the economy in many ways,” said Larry Fladager, CEO of the Prince Albert & District Chamber of Commerce. “Many people are shopping online, or heading to larger centres to do their shopping, and this has a huge impact on the businesses located here in Prince Albert.”
“When you don’t support local business, you risk losing those businesses that not only work hard to make a living here, but also work hard to be good community citizens and support the local groups and initiatives that make Prince Albert a great place to live, work and invest.”
The Shop Local signs were set up November 23 and will remain until January.
