The first-ever Borealis Music Festival takes place July 31-August 2. The event features a great mix of musical artists and includes workshops, children’s activities and after-hours events. Shuttle service will also be available to accommodate those who want to stay in the Lakeland areas during the event.
The three-day music festival takes place at Kinsmen Park, a location intended to highlight the city of Prince Albert as more than just the Gateway to the North.
Abraham Lancaster, the event coordinator for the Borealis Music Festival, says the event is a great way to promote the city.
“The Borealis Music Festival will enrich the cultural community in Prince Albert and raise awareness of Prince Albert as a destination rather than just a gateway city,” Lancaster adds.
This is the first time a musical event of this calibre has been hosted in Prince Albert. The event includes a mix of entertainers from a variety of genres, including bluegrass, rock and country. A full lineup of entertainers can be found by visiting the event site.
With this just the first year of what is to become an annual event, Lancaster said the Borealis Music Festival will also give back to the community through upgrades and improvements to Kinsmen Park.
