Whether you’ve been in an accident or just want to get rid of that ugly dent, Trudel Auto Body Collision has great service and a great team to help repair your vehicle. With their expansion now complete, Trudel now has even more space to get the job done.
A family-owned business since 1972, Trudel Auto Body Collision services all makes and models of vehicles including, boats, motor homes, trailers and transport trucks. The recent expansion saw an additional 3,200 square feet added on at their location at #75 South Industrial Drive in Prince Albert.
Trudel Auto Body Collision is an Elite-accredited body shop, meaning it can write damage estimates for SGI, and offers payment plans for your deductible, windshield and glass claims, private body repairs, frame and fibreglass repairs and paintless dent repairs. Customers can also access rental vehicles and a shuttle service while waiting for repairs.
The building expansion allows for more room to work and an improved workflow at Trudel Auto Body Collision, while also allowing the shop to take on even bigger jobs such as semis and busses. Maximizing efficiencies makes sense and leads to better organization and more productivity, said Ivan Trudel.
“My vision is to become as lean as possible, as organized as possible, all of which makes for a better place to work,” he added.
“The biggest advantage for the customer is they’re getting a one-stop shop. Trudel Auto Body Collision can write the estimates for SGI, document the damage and start the paperwork, meaning a faster turnaround for the customer.”
Ivan’s father, Andy, started the business in Albertville. The original shop operated next door to his grocery business, called Trudel Auto Body & Grocery. As Andy Trudel recalls in a history of the business on the Trudel Auto Body website, the first shop in Albertville had table lamps nailed to the wall for lighting, an oil-burning furnace and a house cooling fan, and two farm wheel compressors hooked together outside for air.
“Why I didn’t blow myself up with explosive fumes, God only knows,” Andy writes.
Andy Trudel still works with his son on consultations, while John Trudel, Ivan’s uncle, works part-time as a technician. Trudel Auto Body Collision has 11 people on staff full time. The business works hard to provide the best customer experience possible, all while getting your vehicle looking great and back in top shape.
