Economic spin-offs for businesses brought by the 2018 WBSC Junior Men’s Softball World Championships will be the topic of a talk by Ian Litzenberger, chair of Project Triple Play and director of sponsorship and marketing for the tournament,

Litzenberger, a guest speaker of the Community Economic Development Forum on May 8., will discuss how local organizations can still get involved in the July 7 to 15 tournament, which plays host to 14 junior men’s softball teams from around the world at Prime Minister’s Park.

His talk will also touch on the on-going opportunities for Prince Albert resultant of the $1.55 million renovation to Max Power Ball Parks, set to open this upcoming softball season.

This championship tournament will be one of the largest events ever hosted in Prince Albert.
